Great for combination skin

I was so lucky to be sent the Sephora Collection SQNHYA Matte Moisturizer Cream from the Sephora community in exchange for my honest review! This cream comes in a squeezable tube. Personally I love a jar for cream as I like to use all of the product. This cream's ingredients are 90% natural origin, it contains; 🫒 Squalane - extracted from olives 🌾Hyaluronic Acid - extracted from wheat. It's suitable for all skin types including those with sensitive skin. It has zero scent or fragrance. This cream is surprisingly thicker than expected. It absorbs so quickly into my skin leaving no greasy / sticky residue I found that this moisturising cream perfect for my combination skin as it doesn't leave my skin feeling oily or greasy after applying in fact it leaves my skin mattified, perfect for the warmer wether as I find my skin tends to look more greasy/ shiny during warmer spells. I apply this in the morning and evening to my face and neck it leaves my skin feel hydrated and soft. I also love that this cream works really well with other products without causing any pilling. I find it a great makeup base. Overall I love how this cream looks and feels on my skin. It locks in the hydration whilst also not leaving me looking shiny. It doesn't clog up my pores & when using instead of my primer it keeps my makeup in place all day. I highly recommend to anyone with oily/combination skin.

Great Mattifying Moisturiser

This moisturiser is slightly thicker than I am used to for oily skin, more like a cream rather than a gel, so I was surprised at how matte it left my skin! Skin feels hydrated but has a completely matte finish. Great under SPF or as a primer. The oil control is ok, I did get a bit shiny by the end of the day. It's very gentle and would be good for sensitive skin as well. I'm disappointed Sephora Collection isn't cruelty free though.

Great multi-use moisturiser

This moisturiser is great for both day and night and as a primer. I use it in the morning mixed with my SPF and it stopped my face from being shiny like with other moisturisers I’ve tried. As a primer, this moisturiser makes my makeup last all day and stops glowy makeup from looking oily. It’s also great for no-makeup days mixed with bronzing drops. At night, this moisturiser stops my face from feeling sticky when going to bed after using serums. I received this product free as part of the Sephora Community Test and Review Scheme. This is my honest review.

Great matte moisturiser!

Great matte moisturiser. Looks like cream but has a gel consistency when applying. Soaks in quickly and leaves skin smooth and matte for hours but doesn't feel dry. I like this product, it goes nicely under makeup and leaves my T zone shine free for hours. I've been using this moisturiser for about a week and I'm happy with the results. Added bonus - it contains hyaluronic acid.

Super Matte!

I was lucky enough to have received this product to test as part of the Sephora Community and I have been using it for just over a week now. This is now one of my go-to moisturisers. I have oily/combination skin that can get very shiny very quickly, especially in the summer months and this keeps me matte all day! At first I was worried since when I put it on at first it didn't have the wet stickiness that I have been used to with my past moisturisers, so I was concerned that it wouldn't give enough hydration but no it hydrates perfectly fine and I don't have to wait for it to absorb to have the matte look. I have tested it by itself, under spf, mixed with a bb cream and as a primer under makeup and I have to say it excels in all of them- in fact as a primer it performs better than my current primer! It keeps my makeup stuck there for the whole day and allows my pores to breathe. It hasn't clogged any of my pores and gives my skin a matte look for hours. It feels so lightweight and gives my skin such a healthy glow. I have also seen the general oiliness of my face improve since using it. It hasn't caused any pilling of any of my other normal products, especially my spf . Overall, I would 110% buy this again.

Amazing moisturiser

The Sephora collection matte moisturiser is excellent for my combination skin. It has a really nice smoothing texture and is lightweight. It absorbs into my skin very quickly and is completely non greasy. The matte effect also controls oil throughout the day. The ingredients list is also very impressive and contains glycerin and hyaluronic acid which are both great for moisturising. It is a very clean beauty product and has no fragrance either which is a huge bonus for me. I really recommend this for oily or combination skin people!

Visible Oil Control

I received this product to test as part of the Sephora Beauty Community in exchange for my honest review. I have got combo/oily skin, especially in the T Zone so this product looked like it would be what I have been looking for. My first impression was that the cream felt quite thick and I was uncertain, however I was pleasantly surprised with how it applied to the face. It didn’t feel too thick, spread nicely and absorbed quickly. I layered my SPF over (light fluid texture) and did not experience any pilling or separating which I’m very impressed with. I also found that the oil controlling properties still came through even with SPF on top and it left my skin feeling smooth, prepped and no heavy layer of skincare on top. I have worn makeup everyday whilst testing this moisturiser with the SPF and have not needed to use a primer (saving me crucial minutes in the morning!). The oil control from this moisturiser gives me 6-8 hours of good wear and I don’t find myself reaching to touch up my makeup. My oils usually come through within 3 hours. For the price, this is an extremely good moisturiser for anyone with oily/combination skin! I have used far more expensive products which either do not work or are so thick and heavy that I do not want to use them. I have taken a star off the product, because although it isn’t drying on my skin, I also don’t find it to be super moisturising (in the week I have tested it), so I would use a different moisturiser at night just to ensure my skin is getting adequate hydration. Overall I absolutely love this product. It has made my makeup last longer, even in the hot weather, and it has taken away the need for a primer. This moisturiser layers well with products I am currently using and there is a visible difference in the oiliness of my skin since using. The price is very reasonable and I will 100% be repurchasing, as well as trying out other products within the Sephora Collection skincare range.

Mattifying

I have combination skin with an oily t zone and this is particularly bad during the summer months. This moisturiser has lightweight, gel like texture that spreads well across my skin and is quickly absorbed. After application my skin feels hydrated and soft. The moisturiser gives the skin a beautiful matte finish and it keeps my oily skin under control through the day. The moisturiser works as great base for makeup and helps my makeup last longer.

Wonderful mattified skin that lasts all day

I was fortunate to receive a Sephora Matte Moisturizing Cream to test and review as a member of the Sephora Community. I have been using this product for a week and a half and I am loving it. This moisturizing cream comes in a tube which holds 50ml of product. There is also a card box that it comes in, which is clearly printed with all the relevant information required to describe this product. Both the plastic tube and card box are recyclable and the moisturizing cream is vegan. The tube is made of 61% of plastic from sugar cane residue and the box is made of materials from sustainable forests. This moisturizing cream is designed to be used as part of your daytime skincare routine. Apply to freshly cleansed skin, and after your daytime serum. It is easy to apply the cream by simply unscrewing the lid and squeezing the desired amount from the tube. I noticed instantly on my first use how lovely the texture of this cream is. It has a luxurious creamy and slightly gel formula that is so lightweight. It squeezes from the tube without any mess or drips. It is simple to use by smoothing gently all over the face excluding the eye area. Apply to the skin in gentle strokes and circular movements smoothing into the skin for it to fully absorb. A little goes a long way and this cream absorbs quickly into the skin like the skin is drinking it. Leave for a short time for it to fully absorb. After absorbing the skin feels really smooth and plumped and it is left with an invisible mattified look with a healthy glow. This matte moisturizing cream is absolutely perfect for my combination skin. I have the oily T zone and in the hot weather it can be really hard to stop my skin getting shiny and looking oily. This matte moisturizer by Sephora is an absolute miracle for my skin as it really does keep my skin looking mattified all day. It is a perfect canvas to be worn alone or you can apply your makeup on top. I really am amazed at how it keeps my makeup looking fresh and looking like it has only just been applied after hours of wear. The matte moisturizing cream is formulated with natural hyaluronic acid and mattifying powder, known to mattify and minimize shine. It is especially designed for combination and oily skincare concerns helping to reduce oiliness, minimizing the look of pores, and blemishes. This cream is absolutely wonderful as it not only keeps the skin fresh and mattified it also keeps it hydrated and protected. 90% of the ingredients in this product are of natural origin, the 10% is mainly to ensure the preservation of the product. If you suffer with oily skin, breakouts, enlarged pores and shine I would absolutely recommend this product. I will definitely be purchasing another when required. It is fab.

I’ve been using the Sephora Matte Moisturizer for a few weeks, and I’m impressed with how well it controls oil without drying out my skin. The lightweight formula feels great, and it provides the perfect matte finish that lasts all day. Highly recommend for anyone with oily or combination skin!

Long Lasting Moisturising Cream

It acts as a shield to protect skin from environmental damage. The formulation contains Natural squalene derived from olives, known for its moisturizing properties Natural hyaluronic acid, derived from wheat, known to be a moisturizing ingredient. It helps the skin to retain water and protects it from dehydration Vitamin E is extracted from sunflowers and is known for its antioxidant properties This cream has an ultra-light milky texture; therefore, it can be used as a makeup base as well. I find its dual function so helpful. It is easy to apply the cream that is fast absorbed by the skin. I also love that this is a long-lasting moisturizing face cream, acting on the skin for more than 8 hours. This SEPHORA COLLECTION light day cream moisturizes my skin right away after application, making it softer and supple. For best results, I apply this light day cream morning and evening to the face and neck. The product’s packaging is environmentally friendly. Both the tube and box are recyclable. The tube is made with 44% recycled plastic. The cardboard comes from sustainably managed forests and is printed with plant-based inks.

Lovely moisturiser and great for oily skin

I received this product and was immediately excited about using it as an oily skinned girl. In the summer especially, I really struggle with visible oil on my skin, and it's made worse by wearing makeup on top, so I was especially excited to see that this can be used as a primer too. The moisturiser feels luxe and is a really nice consistency - thick but easily sinks into skin, and skin immediately feels moisturised and fresh yet mattified upon application. I'm excited to see how it performs as a primer! Giving this product 4 stars as it has no fragrance (and personally I like a little fragrance although I know it's controversial!).
